It is essential for women to have a smear test at age 25 and continuing until age 64.

The test checks for abnormal cells in the cervix that could lead to cervical cancer.

You can book an appointment at your GP surgery, a sexual health clinic or a specialist clinic. Speak to your GP if you haven't received a letter about your smear test from the age of 25.
